Eastlake Educational Foundation

About the EastLake Educational Foundation

The EastLake Educational Foundation (EEF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation established in 1995 with the mission of raising funds to support the highest quality educational opportunities in the public schools within the community of EastLake in Chula Vista, California.

Since our inception, the EEF has been successful in bringing together businesses, local residents, school staff and families in support of our mission to develop and enhance technology in the classroom.

Through community support, the EEF has been able to provide over $1,900,000 to equally benefit all six EastLake public schools; our schools include EastLake Elementary, Olympic View Elementary, Salt Creek Elementary, Arroyo Vista Charter School, EastLake Middle and EastLake High. The organization operates with only one paid staff person, a very active Board of Directors who is in no way compensated for all of their effort and time, and nearly 100 volunteers throughout each year. We pride ourselves on giving nearly every dollar raised back into the schools.

In 2016 the EEF will provide over $120,000 to the local schools; the funding will be used for things like Technology Specialist to teach students, computer labs, laptop computers, Nooks,  iPad’s, Smart Boards, Robotics and equipment for wireless technology to name just

As state funding cuts for education continue to deepen, schools are relying more a few.heavily on nonprofit foundations like the EEF to help close the funding gap. The EEF relies on community support and donations from: individuals just like you, EastLake residents, local businesses and foundations, grant funding, and special events (ex. Cycle EastLake, 4th of July VIP Reception at Olympic Training Center, Annual Golf Tournament, Taste of EastLake). Contributions allow the EEF to reach out to the schools through technology. Through the EEF more than 10,000 students are given the ability to acquire the skills and tools needed so they can survive in a complex, highly technological knowledge-based world.

We are proud that the EEF is recognized by the local school districts, our school principals, staff, parents, residents and businesses as not only being an important financial supporter of our schools, but a true partner in creating strong community involvement in education.
